Ok, so yesterday in this post I said that my routine for the day would look like this.

  • 6 am - Wake up and get to the gym
  • 7 am - Wrap up at the gym and get home
  • 8 am - Go to work
  • 5:30 pm - Finish work
  • 6:30 pm - Have something quick to eat
  • 7:00 pm - Work on A Better Budgeting App (4 hrs)
  • 11:00 pm - Go to bed

But like all good plans, things tend to deviate. What my routine ended up looking like was this.

  • 6 am - Wake up
  • 6:15 - get to the gym
  • 6:50 am - Wrap up at the gym and get home
  • 7:30 am - Go to work
  • 6:30 pm - Finish work
  • 8:30 pm - Have something quick to eat
  • 9:30 pm - Work on A Better Budgeting App (1 hrs)
  • 10:38 pm - Write this blog post
  • 11:00 pm - Go to bed

So the purpose of yesterdays plan was to test if going to the gym for some exercise in the morning helped my sleepiness during the day. Before I was feeling foggy and extremely lethargic at work towards the end of the day and OH MY GOD! What a difference it made.

I had tried going to the gym in the morning a few years ago and it had worked, but somehow recently I grew skeptical of it so I didn't try it again. Finally, when I ran out of options I decided to give it another go as most of my other endeavors to solve my tiredness had failed miserably.

Although on paper it looks bad since I only had 1 hrs work on A Better Budgeting app today I feel amazing and I haven't felt like this naturally without the help of Otrivine (an evil nasal spray) in months if not years. I feel alert! I'm hoping this isn't a placebo effect, but only time will tell. I've got another gym session tomorrow morning so I'll let you know how I feel tomorrow! Woop Woop 🙌🏻
